What the Habits Doctor Report is — and what it isn't

By Habits

Habits includes a Doctor Report PDF in both Free and Pro.

The current product reference describes it as a formatted PDF suitable for sharing with a healthcare provider.

Do not treat the name “Doctor Report” as meaning a doctor wrote, signed, reviewed or approved the PDF.

The short version

The Habits Doctor Report is:

  • a PDF generated by Habits;
  • based on information available in your Habits account;
  • included in the current Free and Pro plans;
  • something you choose whether to share.

The Doctor Report is not:

  • a diagnosis;
  • a prescription;
  • a record authored by your clinician or healthcare provider;
  • proof that a clinician reviewed the contents;
  • a guarantee that every Habits tracker appears in the PDF;
  • a guarantee that a healthcare professional will use or agree with the information.

The current production PDF should be checked before this guide publishes an exact list of sections or fields.

Doctor Report is part of the Habits reporting system

The current product reference confirms Doctor Report as a PDF report alongside Habits' broader Analytics and Reports features.

This guide does not publish button-by-button navigation until the current iPhone build is checked.

They are separate report features

Habits currently has several report types.

Weekly Report

The current plan matrix documents:

  • Free: Medication + Hydration sections;
  • Pro: expanded Weekly Report across all eight documented report sections.

Habits also has a Weekly PDF.

Monthly Report

The Monthly Health Report and Monthly PDF are Pro features.

Doctor Report

The Doctor Report PDF is currently included in:

  • Free;
  • Pro.

This guide does not claim the Doctor Report uses the same:

  • sections;
  • date range;
  • AI generation;
  • cache;
  • layout;

as the Weekly or Monthly Report.

This guide does not make that claim yet

Habits uses AI in several reporting features.

The product source explicitly describes:

  • Weekly Health Report as AI-generated;
  • Monthly Health Report as AI-generated.

It separately confirms the existence of the Doctor Report PDF, but it does not state that every part of the Doctor Report is AI-generated.

So this guide does not label the Doctor Report:

  • AI-generated;
  • non-AI;
  • clinician-generated.

The current production report flow needs to be inspected first.

Check the generated report date before you share it

A report is only as useful as the information it contains.

Before sharing a Doctor Report:

  • check when it was generated;
  • review whether your Habits records are up to date;
  • check whether important recent information is present.

This guide does not call the Doctor Report:

  • real-time;
  • live;
  • instantly refreshed;

until the production generation/cache behaviour is verified.

You decide whether the report is ready to share

Before sending or showing the PDF to someone else:

  1. open the report;
  2. check the details you recognise;
  3. make sure the report reflects the records you intended to include;
  4. check for outdated or incorrect entries in the underlying Habits logs.

If a source record in Habits is wrong, correct the record where the current product allows you to do so before generating a new report.

Important

A formatted PDF can make information look authoritative.

The formatting does not guarantee that:

  • a user-entered value is correct;
  • an AI-assisted value is correct;
  • a health interpretation is clinically correct.

Habits does not need to automatically send the report to your healthcare professional

The current product reference does not establish an automatic clinician-delivery integration.

The feature is described as a PDF suitable for sharing with a healthcare provider.

The exact current save/share steps should be documented only after the running iPhone flow is checked.

Think of the report like any other sensitive health document

The Doctor Report can contain personal health information.

Once you:

  • save the PDF outside Habits;
  • email it;
  • AirDrop it;
  • upload it to another service;
  • give it to another person;

that external copy is no longer protected by the Habits in-app Face ID / Touch ID lock.

Deleting your Habits account does not automatically retrieve a PDF you already saved or shared elsewhere.

Choose recipients and storage locations carefully.

It is a Habits-generated summary, not a record authored by your clinician

The Doctor Report organises information from Habits.

It is not:

  • a prescription;
  • a medical diagnosis;
  • your clinician's notes;
  • a record issued by your pharmacy or healthcare provider;
  • proof that a healthcare professional reviewed your data.

If you share the PDF with a healthcare organisation, that organisation may decide whether and how to keep it within its own records under its own policies and legal obligations.

A healthcare professional may decide whether the information is useful in the context of your care.

No

The point of the PDF is organisation.

It can give you a formatted copy of information from Habits that you may choose to bring forward.

It does not:

  • interpret your treatment for your healthcare professional;
  • tell your healthcare professional what decision to make;
  • replace a consultation;
  • guarantee a better medical outcome.

If you have a question about:

  • medication;
  • symptoms;
  • dosing;
  • treatment;

ask an appropriate qualified healthcare professional.

The choice is yours

The feature is called Doctor Report, but Habits does not determine who must receive the PDF.

You may decide to share it with an appropriate healthcare professional or keep an external copy for your own records.

Before sharing it with anyone, remember that the PDF may contain sensitive personal information.

No

The current Habits plan matrix includes the Doctor Report PDF in:

  • Free;
  • Pro.

You do not need Pro simply to access the current Doctor Report feature.

Important distinction

Other reporting features do differ by plan.

For example:

  • the Free Weekly Report is currently limited to Medication + Hydration sections;
  • Pro expands weekly reporting;
  • the Monthly Report/PDF is Pro.

But the Doctor Report itself is currently included in both plans.

They solve different jobs

Doctor Report

A formatted PDF intended to make Habits information easier to review visually.

JSON / CSV export

A portable data export for supported logged health data.

One is not a substitute for the other.

If you want:

  • a readable formatted summary → the Doctor Report may be useful;
  • structured/rawer exported data → JSON/CSV serves a different purpose.
