The short version
AI Workout Generator works like this:
- Describe the workout you want.
- Habits uses optional AI to generate 1–5 workout options.
- Review the workout details.
- Save a generated workout to your Workout Library if it is useful.
A generated workout can include:
- warmup;
- exercise list;
- form notes;
- cooldown;
- duration;
- difficulty;
- Home/Gym location;
- tips.
The current product source also documents YouTube exercise links.
AI Generate is one of the current Exercise modes
The current Exercise & Workouts area documents five modes:
- Menu
- Library
- Workout
- Programs
- AI Generate
This Product Guide focuses on AI Generate.
Start with a text request
The current feature accepts a text prompt describing the workout you want.
For example, a request could describe:
- Home or Gym preference;
- approximate workout length;
- a broad type of workout you want.
The AI uses that request to generate workout options.
Keep medical decisions out of the prompt
If your workout question depends on:
- an injury;
- surgery;
- pregnancy;
- significant pain;
- a heart or respiratory condition;
- a clinician's restriction;
do not rely on a general AI workout generator to decide what exercise is medically appropriate.
Use appropriate professional guidance where needed.
One request can return several workout options
The current source says the AI can generate between 1 and 5 customised workouts.
That gives you options to review rather than treating the first generated result as automatically right for you.
The current output is structured, not just a paragraph
The source documents these generated workout fields:
- workout name;
- description;
- difficulty;
- location:
- Home;
- Gym;
- duration;
- warmup;
- exercise list;
- form notes;
- cooldown;
- tips;
- tags.
The source also documents YouTube demo links for exercises.
Exact output can vary
Not every generated workout should be assumed to contain every field in the same amount of detail until the current running output is checked.
Review the level and duration before starting
The generated workout can include a difficulty label and duration.
Those labels help organise the workout.
They do not prove that:
- the difficulty is medically appropriate for you;
- the duration is the right amount of Exercise for your health;
- the workout has been physically assessed for your current ability.
If a workout looks too difficult or inappropriate, do not treat the AI output as something you must follow.
Generated exercises can include form notes
Habits' current source says exercises in generated workouts can include form notes.
Use those notes as general guidance.
An AI-generated description cannot:
- see your movement;
- confirm your technique;
- assess pain;
- correct your form in real time.
Stop an exercise if something feels wrong and seek appropriate guidance where needed.
Generated workouts can include YouTube demo links
The current product source documents YouTube links alongside generated exercises.
A YouTube video is external content.
Habits should not imply that:
- Habits created every linked video;
- every video is clinically reviewed;
- every external video remains available forever.
Review the exercise and video before relying on it.
Keep a generated workout when you want to use it again
The current product source supports saving generated workouts to the Workout Library.
That lets a generated workout become part of your saved workout collection.
Creating or saving a workout is not the same as recording that you completed it
The AI Workout Generator creates a workout.
Exercise logging is a separate product action.
This guide does not treat:
generated workout
or:
saved workout
as proof that the Exercise session happened.
You do not need Pro just to use AI Workout Generator
The current plan matrix includes AI Workout Generator in:
- Free;
- Pro.
It uses the applicable daily AI allowance.
Pro has a higher daily AI allowance than Free.
Exact quota numbers
This Product Guide does not publish exact usage counts until Habits' customer-facing AI quota semantics are finalised.
Exercise tracking and structured Programs remain available without AI generation
AI Workout Generator is optional.
The broader Exercise system includes:
- manual Exercise logging;
- Workout Library;
- Active Workout mode;
- structured multi-week Programs.
The current Free/Pro matrix includes Exercise tracking and Programs in both plans.
If you do not want optional AI, you can still use the core Exercise features.
AI Workout Generator sits inside Habits' optional AI system
Habits has:
- a master AI control;
- separate AI data-category controls;
- an AI access history.
Exercise is one of the nine named AI categories.

Describe the workout, not your entire health history
A workout prompt may be sent through optional AI processing.
Only include information that is genuinely useful to the workout request.
Do not paste:
- medical documents;
- health IDs;
- private contact details;
- another person's information;
into the workout prompt.
If your needs depend on medical history or an injury, use appropriate professional guidance rather than turning the prompt into a medical assessment request.
AI Workout Generator is not a physiotherapy or rehabilitation tool
Do not rely on a generated workout to diagnose or rehabilitate:
- knee pain;
- back pain;
- shoulder injury;
- post-operative recovery;
- sports injury;
- significant mobility limitation.
Habits can generate general Exercise ideas.
It does not examine you or perform a physical assessment.
A tracking goal is not proof of what your body medically needs
Habits lets users configure Exercise goals.
If an AI workout considers a requested duration or exercise goal, that does not make the target medically appropriate.
The current settings support broad user-configured Exercise targets.
Use them as tracking preferences, not clinical prescriptions.
Review a generated workout before starting it
AI-generated exercise plans can be:
- too difficult;
- too easy;
- repetitive;
- impractical;
- inappropriate for available equipment;
- technically wrong.
You do not need to follow a generated workout exactly.
If an exercise is not appropriate for you, choose another workout or use another Habits Exercise option.
Exercise planning should stay separate from symptom treatment
Habits can also store side-effect records.
This Product Guide does not claim that AI Workout Generator uses side effects to decide:
- whether Exercise is medically safe;
- what intensity is safe;
- whether someone should rest;
- whether a symptom is concerning.
If you have a health concern or significant symptom, do not rely on a generated workout to make that decision.
